I have had a similar situation with testing, only it was hair follicle. Went and got a test done and was smoking bout an oz a week when I heard I had to get one and I stopped for 14 days and my body hair analysis (underarm) stated I had been clean for 12 months. They said I was clean and I said "Thank you, I believe you" and walked out the door amazed...

yeah I have my theory on it though in that armpit hair generally does not grow as much and being I have had the same (more or less) length of hair since I can remember I figure they checked and saw I was clean based on being the hair growth was from my early teens not recently.

Basically, the benzo positive could be from a number of things relating to medications (which unfortunately you do not take, unlike your friend). The THC, well, that's a different matter. Normally, I wouldn't say six months later some THC is going to show up on a urinalysis....highly, highly unlikely, but it could. Also, being around smoke can trigger a positive with secondhand smoke and such. Probation is rough, but depending on the situation, maybe you should just sit this one out for a few months? There's tons of ways to get around UA's, but then again, the urine has to be clean.
