Hello RIU!

I posted this in the Medical marijuana section, but maybe this section is better.

We are laying the ground work to establish a Medical Cannabis Organization in Illinois, pending the passage of IL Senate Bill 1381 (also known as the Compassionate Use of Medical Cannabis Pilot Program Act) this November.

As such, we are in need of legal counsel to help establish the proper business structure and ideally to keep on retainer for any legal issues that could arise for the business.

Can anyone recommend a reputable firm or lawyer who is capable of and/or interested in our business, pending the passage of SB1381? Even better if they are familiar with the intricacies of Chicago licensing requirements.

Guitarzan420 - NORML is great, thanks for the suggestion. It seems like most lawyers listed there defend folks who have been busted. If you know anyone who is pro 420, able to set up a corporate structure and familiar with business licensing - point them my way!
