I'd say consult a Lawyer or public attorney, If they come for you. You on probation. That means staighten up or your fucked man? Good luck.

If you are on probation:

A) You have absolutely no business growing whatsoever. Your rights are infringed already.

B) You should stay as far away as possible from your brother. He is willing to risk your freedom for a few gallons of fuel.

c) Get your girlfriend a copy of the Constitution.

You would have been in custody that day if the coppers could have made a case, or put two and two together. Thank goodness for bureaucratic inefficiency.

You are okay for now, but you need to seriously reappraise your priorities at this point.

I dont think your going to get arrested for the growing because if you were youd of been arrested at that moment .However if your probation officer finds out you might have some problems but then again if you werent arrested you cant get violated .if you have some extra money you might want to retain a lawyer . NEVER EVER let the cops come in unless they have a warrant, does your girlfriend live ther with you because if she doesnt i dont think legally they have a case

If you're on probation I wouldn't even risk growing plants. But like everyone else said, if they didn't arrest you that day then they aren't coming back. Cross your fingers your probation officer doesn't hear about this.

I would say the same thing. Being on probation is and participating in this action is the first thing you did wrong. It is painting a bad picture for the rest of us.
There are many things I would consider if you feel as though they will be back. Do you own the place or rent it? Who is on the lease? If you rent a place, lets say an appartment, your landlord has the right to give authorities permission to search the place since he or she owns it. However, in most leases a landlord must notify the tenants before arriving. I am not sure if this applies when the authorities are there but I doubt it. If your girl friend is on the lease and she allows the officers in they pretty much have the right to search the house if they see probable cause. Probable cause is anything that suggests you are doing something illegal (ie: under the age of 21 and there is beer cans everywhere).

It could be true that they will be back. Police will pull cable bills, utility bills, and energy bills to build a case. They arent just looking for the electricity consumption but if you have paid all your bills on time.

Last I would seriously look into all the possible charges you may face (ie: cultivation of an illegal substance, possesion with intent to distribute, ect.) Consult a lawyer ASAP so you can be ready if the police do end up showing up
out of the blue. This way you will have more knowledge of your rights and the seriousness of the charges.
