Hey guys, I havent been logged in for a while and I feel really bad about that. I am going to make an effort to be on here more from now on. I have a few questions because I am writing a paper (30 + pages) on the use of Medical marijuana and why it should be the states choice and not the federal government along with its uses and what not.

My question for you guys is that I am having trouble finding any religious groups who are against the idea and/or political groups...I am wondering if you know of any local or fairly known ones around???

It's not like any religion says "And Pot is Against God". But more it is a puritan societal dogma that has been around for ages.
But as far as religion we can always revert back to the bible. So what does the bible have to say about this?
Here are several bible verses
"Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things." (Genesis 9:3).
"Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat" (Genesis 1:29)
"For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected, if it is received with gratitude;" (Timothy 4:4)

Genesis 9:3 and 1:29 reveal God's will for all seed-bearing plants. marijuana is a seed-bearing plant. This is so important that God put it in the very first chapter of the very first book of the Bible.

Food is a word that we should look at.

Biblically marijuana is a seed-bearing plant. Botanically marijuana it is a herbaceous annual plant. Botanically and scripturally marijuana is a herb, a food. It is one of the finest of foods. Of all the plants in the world the seed of marijuana is second in protein only to soy beans. marijuana seeds are the only food that provides essential amino acids and essential fatty acids in the ratio that is optimal for the human body. Humans can and have survived in robust health by eating marijuana seeds. The oil that is pressed from the seed has more polyunsaturated essential fatty acids than any other known oil.
Remember how in 1 Tim 4:4 God said, "For everything created by God is good and nothing is to be rejected, if it is received with gratitude." If you would like to see grateful people, you will find them wherever marijuana has reduced pain, cured blindness, whose tumors have disappeared, whose depression is vanquished, or have just gathered in happiness to share each other's loving company.

Now what sane, open-minded, human being can reject that?
