The answer is yes and no for both. You are taking a risk with both questions and can have potential problems. Your chances are in your favor though if that helps.

if by safe, you mean 100% safe from any legal issues, answer is no, there's a small chance the seeds will be intercepted by customs, and a very small chance that customs would pass that info on some other law enforcement agency
my guess on your chances on having a small seed order intercepted is less than 1 in a hundred based upon the experiences i've seen on various grow sites, and my own experience(4 for 4 seed orders received in ny)
but that is just my guess

here is the answer you are looking for. if you are worried about attention being drawn, set up a P.O. box. have your mail sent there for about two months.

my 1st 2 orders were with highgrade-seeds, a smaller canadian breeder, he seems to have a very good rep for delivery
then i got to reading up on seed boutique, 2 orders for some nirvana seeds that came through fine, price was a bit lower on seed boutique
now i've really got as many seeds as i need for a long time

you need an id to setup a pobox, so that want work and + they will just hold your mail at the counter and wait for you to pick it up then get you picture from the camra and or plate no. from your car
what you do is use a adress that you can trust ( a close friend or maybe your grandmas house, or an aunt or uncle who at work when the mail is deliverd..... or some one you can trust dont tell them what it is or just tell them its something else then what it is and you need the mail to be sent to there house for whatever reasons) get a desposeable visa card (gift card) but frist see how much $$ you will need adding $10 for S/H then come up with a name, not some thing to fake some thing like, Mary Potts (lol) then tell your trusted adress that you are looking for some mail in the name of Mary Potts, tell them that you won a free gift online and thats the name you used, because you didn't want to give them your real info,,, then just wait..... im still waiting.....

i ordered my seeds from nirvana about a month and a 1/2 ago still no seeds in site-- how did you order it did you use your real info or did you do like i did above

i like what i've read on nirvana seeds as far grower's experience with them
i seem to see a bit more trouble with nirvana's seed delivery, seed boutique seems to do real well in this regard, as well as selling nirvana seeds at a very nice price

Dont send em to your grandmas house! Thats just lame man. LOL I actually have used my real address as I have only orderd small numbers. My largest being 15 seeds. I dont know maybe i have just been lucky or whatever but i look at it like if you think the nypd is gonna come after me for growing 3 small plants well then i guess i would just have to face the consequences but i dont know the whole grandma thing just got to me cause if yours is anything like mine,,,,,,,, well, shes just too good a person.
