Default Class A Misdemeanor "Marijuana Pipe/Residue"?

Hello, on August 2, 2009 I was pulled over by the cops with some friends. I was not Driving.

The Cop gave me a slip that said "marijuana Pipe/Residue" in the Class A Section.

I'm 17, Live in Texas and I don't have a record. This is my First offense.


What do you think I'll be looking at? Probation, Community Service, Ticket?

If so, about how much do you think?

I dont know how the law is in texas but here in new york that would be nothing but a day in centralm booking.Since you got a ticket im guessing they will make you pay a fine.
I dont think its a class a misdemeanor because that can be up to 1 year jail time..

You're 17? Maybe community service? It depends on the judge, but minors usually get away with a slap on the wrist - a lecture from the bench.

That's what I was thinking, seems to harsh for having a pipe on me.

Thanks, also in the car their was a 20 sack in a box. The driver(Chris) said that it was his though. Would that make a difference on me?
