Do you have to have the california medical card,even after you got the medical card the doctor gives to you? or will dispensarys accept the the doctor issued card? also, will the police accept the doctor issued card without the state issue one?

all dispensaris take the paper doc recomendation thought they may call and veify status don know about doctors card but police want state issued card but u should be ok with recommendation and they can call and verify but depends on the cop but even then its only a ticket in cali so u go to ur court date with orignal doc recommedation all charges would be droped and meds returned

You do not needto have the state issued card but its a good idea. If you only have tot doc's rec, they can still search your car, take meds, etc. With the State card once they are shown it by law they have to walk away and not hassle you any more. Not so with a doc's rec...
