The police came to my house and said that they had an anonymous tip about drugs in the house. I was freaked out because they were wearing black masks and stuff. Looked like it was a swat team. Well stupidly I said come in because I am not making meth or anything. I thought they had the wrong house. He asked if I had drugs in the house and I know I did so I just showed him some weed I had in a drawer. Not much as it is just personal use. They went on to look around and found some grow lights I had in the basement plus some additional weed that had been in a drawer for years probably. Not much. In total it is less than 2 ounces for sure but most likely barely over 1 ounce. I have not tried to grow anything in 4-5 years and that was a disaster so I just packed it in. I did however grow some garden flowers from seed quite well. I have a good idea that a family member is trying to get back at me by supplying this anonymous tip. Am I screwed? I do have an attorney now so I just have to wait to be charged and see what happens. Man this sucks.

That sounds strange. I mean if they came to your house to search for drugs and found the grass then that would give them cause to issue a citation or arrest you...If they wanted to.

I would think if you were going to be charged they would have done it already.

Wow, Did you get charged with anything? What reasons did they have to enter your home anyway?

I got arrested and got fingerprinted and picture taken. I was let go immediately afterward. I just have to wait for the charges to come from the prosecutor at this point. This is in Missouri. The charges I saw on the paperwork was Possession of marijuana and Possession of Paraphernalia. They took the grow lights and my weed. I am sure something will be coming in the near future. Man this sucks.

did they have a warrant to search the house?

Oh, I see. well your pretty much fucked. I don't know the laws there but I know in cali if it is under an oz its a ticket, if over an oz its a higher penalty. Whatever you do, do not admit to growing it. Cultivation carries a much higher penalty. Those lights were used for orchids or spices.
