did you know that the buying or selling of raw milk is illegal in the state of maryland?

you can be fined and get up to a year in jail for buying or selling raw cows milk.

There was a big thing about it in the news up in canada, some guy was producing it for hundreds of people and then the police cracked down. I dont really care because raw milk is pretty crap tasting.

I was pouring concrete on a dairy farm ane we got into his delicious cold milk. unprocessed and oh so fresh and cold. About 20 minutes later it must have turned straight to butter and grease cause it was out the other end. I will never drink raw milk again. Without practice lol

Unpasteurized milk was one of the most aggressive ways the TB bacteria spread. Once a person is infected it gets in their lungs and the disease becomes air-born. It only takes one bacteria to infect a person. Requiring farmers to pasteurize their milk was largely responsible for getting rid of the large incidence of TB infections.

It's not a matter of personal use. If you contract TB, everyone around becomes at risk.

I grew up on raw milk.. Its illegal to sell in Ontario, and beyond that its technically illegal for a farmer to drink it themselves.. It has some serious pros/cons.. Once you get accustomed to it, no other milk is worth a damn, and it does help to build a REALLY strong immune system, but if your immune system fails you really might die from it.. I contracted scarlett fever as an infant from unpastuerized milk.. Came pretty damn close to dying, apparently have a touch of damage to my heart from the incident..
I still have a milk dealer though..
