First, I highly doubt China.. Chinese proxy servers are extremely rare and laggy.

Second, all they need to do is contact the proxy server.. and fetch your IP.. Or if you have logged on ONCE without a proxy, there we go.

Chinese servers are no more laggy than ours... I run through them all the time...India too. Yes, i agree if you log on without one you can be detected.... but if they want you that badly, they will find you no matter what.

Never seen Hackers 2, I take it.... They have superior technology than that which taps phone calls that can monitor *any* router in the USA under participating providers networks(pretty much all the major ones). Any voice or data traffic in the USA can potentially be tracked and logged, by nearly countless interests.

If you traceroute to this server, you'll average 9 to 15 hops, quite likely. Every hop inbetween you and the server could be logging everything, selectively logging, or not logging at all. Most log at least basic statistical data.

Just as in China, most users hop through the Great Firewall of China, and that filters a large amount of selective content.

Oh, most governments only want to expand capacity on how much data and voice they can actively log and filter to use against us.
