hi,
I need some advice.

last night my furnace broke, the furnace guy came over today, and I was with him the entire time, except for about 10 minutes.
he had to shut the gas off to my furnace, and the valve was in my grow room (I did not know this) and he opened the door and he saw it all.

I went downstairs and saw him in there, and he said "don't worry I won't tell anyone, I don't give a shit"
then he talked about how he thinks it should be legal.
I told him I don't sell it and it's for personal use only, and he said there isn't enough there to sell anyway. (only 5 plants)

so, I don't know if I should cut them all down and wait a while to resume growing, or if I let them grow and hope he doesen't call the cops.

he has to come back in a few days to finish the job, he didn't even bill me for the 3 hours he spent at my house today.

Help!!!

Hmmm, it might be alright, but then again... When the guy comes back throw him an extra hundred or two ask ask him to not tell a soul. Honestly you'll probably be alright. If you were going to get busted it would have already happened.

dont worry about it. alot of people are kool and alot of people have lil closet grows ud be suprised. i wouldnt even sweat it. if your really worried heres a test you can do. ask the guy if he wants to burn 1 or just throw him a gram or somthin for free. if he says no to both u might wanna be a lil worried lol. but some people dont smoke on the job so.

I would chop em. Sorry so blunt but honestly who knows who the furnace guy is. He could be drinking one night with his buddies and why not tell the cool story how he ran across a grow room in your basement. He doesnt have anything to lose by flapping his mouth. The only person that does is you. I would chop it.

You got 2 choices really---A. you take it all out and worse case you lose 2- 3 months worth of work or ---B. You rely on the promise of a complete stranger and risk jailtime/fines and get set back in life a few years. Simple really cut your losses clean it all up and throw some storage stuff in its place to make it not look fresh, id of had the scissors in my hand the second he left but maybe thats just me.Good luck

This almost exact same thing happened to me when my shower drain broke and flooded the apartment below mine. The repair guy came in and walked right past my plants and didnt say anything. I started freaking out and he came back and just said "nice plant dude. My kids tryin to grow one. Is this all you have to do?" I was taken aback, but still suspicious. I decided against chopping em cuz they were pretty far a long, and I live in Boulder where weeds pretty much legal anyway. That was like 6 months ago and nothing has come of it.

So my advice is A) think about where you live and how laid back the cops are and B) what your gut feeling tells you about this guy that repaired your furnace. IMHO, I think a lot of the small time personal growers on this forum freak out too easily and assume every other person is out to get them. I think your biggest worry is him comin back and stealin your plants, not callin the cops. But even that is a slim chance. Bottom line: I think less people care than we all like to think.


But then again I am the trusting type, which prolly won't bode well for me in the future. BUT, it hasn't hurt me yet, so the decision is yours...
