I just got my recomendation, so i know i can carry mmj, but how much? and can i carry a pipe too or is that considered drug parephinelia or w/e and illegal?

In most states, you can legally carry cannabis paraphernalia with a medical marijuana recommendation. But don't take that information at face value. It's important to remember that even with a recommendation, you are NOT allowed to drive under the influence of medical marijuana. If you are caught driving around town with a dirty bong in the cup-holder, you will have problems explaining that you aren't DUID. If you have a pipe in your house, you're home-free.

Actually, paraphernalia is NOT included in medical marijuana laws.

However, the vast majority of the time, police do not do anything if you have a recommendation.

Also, in California just earlier this year, a man was sited for paraphernalia while passing through a non medical cannabis friendly county.

Yes, you can operate a shotgun so long as you abide by state law. However, if you were to be accused of a marijuana related felony, you'd be screwed. I'm sure your wondering how you could possibly be accused of a drug felony while a medical marijuana patient. Its actually not hard at all to commit a felony.

A couple examples;

If you were to be caught with more medicine than the law allows. (Possessing 16 Ounces in a County that only allows you to possess 8 )

Or maybe you were caught medicating while driving down the highway.

Selling your medication to non-registered patients.

Any of the above examples, when combined with possession of a firearm, will likely end up in more serious charges.

Assuming that you are a legitimate medical patient, following all the laws and rules, you can retain your right to bear arms at all time.
