Imagine this hypothetical situation: 3 guys living together all friends with seperate bedrooms.

One guy has plants in his room, the other two know nothing about them.

What would happen if the house was to be raided and plants were found in the one person's room.

The two guys says they didnt know about it and the grower says they were all his and the two guys didnt know they were there?

Would the two guys get charged just for living in the wrong house?

I've been in a dorm, 3 of us hippies, and we got raided and busted and there was pot in the living room, and the pigs asked us to decide who it belonged to, we drew straws and they only arrested the one of us. That was 30 years ago tho.

This happened not to long ago to some people i know. Obviously the room mates were aware of the plants ut they claimed ignorance when the cops showed up with a warrent. The dude who was growing them wasnt at home but his room mates were. The police made the room mates call the guy to come over and the second he was insight of the house the cops rushed his ass and threw im in jail. No one else got charged but him and he's still waiting trial as far as i know and this offence took place mid 2008. He's luck because aparently his parents have a good lot of money so hes got a lawyer and he should get of just fine. If your gonna grow a good safty measure is to invest in a bonds man and have a good lawyer on retainer. That way you will only see MAYBE a night in countie which is no thing.

One of the cases I read was a Son's bedroom, where the Parents never entered. That statement invokes the right to privacy, which requires a separate search warrant, which needs additional probable cause. 3 Roomies with 3 bedrooms invokes the right to privacy which also invokes the right to do what you chose in private. Others cannot be held responsible for actions of others exercising his right to privacy... no matter what mood the Cop is in. Defense, "That is so & so's private room, I do not enter, etc. Knowing this, during a bust, I claimed the grow room was my dogs private room, all I know is I hear a lot of giggling", etc. This won't work, but it was fun anyway. Fuck'em.

as to one roommate growing weed...and the others not...usually they will just go after the just one...but if everyone is in on it..yea your fucked..also if each roommate is on a private lease...lol..say for each room..( hint hint) if i was goona grow with roommates..you have each one sign a differnt lease for just the bedroom...that way there not responsible at all but there own room.and they can say idk anything about it....
