Default Question about Marinol

I don't know if this is the right section to be posting this but here goes. I was wondering if any one here has ever gone to a doctor and have them prescribe marinol (synthetic THC). I read back in the early 2000's marinol was defined as a schedule III drug. Also any idea if this would hold up if you failed a drug test (lets say at work)? Thanks for any input

well if your willing to pay HUNDREDS of dollars for something that is manmade, and less effective than what nature can provide you for free, then go ahead.

I was thinking of only getting the prescription then if I need to change jobs and fail a drug test I could hand them over written documentation to explain the existence of THC in my system. Just thinking of the future with half my job already being outsourced it could be helpful. again any help is appreciated

companies can still fire you, because you are an insurance hazard, being on THC.

Marionol is classified as a schedule 3 drug just like codeine. Are you telling me a person that was currently taking codeine (that was prescribed to him) and test positive for it in a drug test would have a chance to not get a job per employer being unhappy with it? Last time I checked the company doing the drug test just gives a yes he "passed" or no "he failed for the following reason". If I went to the testing company with the prescription in hand saying my doctor has prescribed this for me for a medical reason they should honor it. Its legal!... or maybe i am just confusing theory with reality again

that would be descrimination for health reasons. it might be a reason you dont get a job, but if you are working and a random test pops up and you go positive, they cant do shit. and if they try (which would be stupid) there would be an immediate lawsuit on the company.

just having THC in your system and getting hurt would mean a huge problem with their insurance, ive talked to a few PO's who tell me that even if its medical, they can still choose to not hire you becuase of that reason.
