Not that i condone teenage use of cannabis, but it is true that most of us tried smoking pot when we were teens, so teens are going to use the stuff like any of us will. But heres the article, the part i find amusing, is the kids who were tricked into trying this were treated at a local hospital and released.....

I wonder how they treated the kids, some cookies and milk? then doritos and pizza and soda. Then some mashed potatoes, pasta, and bread n butter..

A student at Ball High School in Galveston has been arrested and charged with possession of marijuana after fellow students said they bought brownies from him and then became anxious and dizzy when they ate them, officials said.
The suspect’s name cannot be released because he is a juvenile, said Galveston Independent School District Police Chief LeeRoy Amador.
District officials said the student has been removed from campus and possible discipline will be determined later as the case is investigated. He could be eligible to attend an alternative campus while the case is ongoing, they said.
Amador said that at least four students, ranging in age from 14 to 16, complained of dizziness and rapid heartbeats at the school health clinic between about 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Thursday .
A fifth student later told police about having similar symptoms.
The students were treated at a Clear Lake-area hospital and released.
After authorities were alerted about the students’ conditions, investigators said, the students told them that they each had purchased a brownie from the suspect earlier in the day for between $4 and $5.
Investigators said they found that student on campus and he had a container of brownies and about $124 cash, Amador said.
Amador said investigators saw and smelled marijuana in the brownies and the suspect admitted that he had baked them and laced them with marijuana.
However, he would not disclose where he baked them. Amador said the student’s parents told investigators that the brownies were not baked at their home.
Investigators are trying to determine whether other people were involved in the enterprise.
The Texas Department of Public Safety is testing the brownies’ ingredients.
Amador said possession of marijuana on a school campus is a felony punishable by up to two years in a state jail and a $10,000 fine.
He said charges of assault with bodily injury may be filed against the suspect if prosecutors determine that the evidence warrants it.
Amador said this was the first time his office has handled such a case.

When I was in HS, you didn't pay $5 for a brownie out of some kid's container unless you knew it had weed in it..

no shit. A 5.00 brownie everyone of those kids should have known what they were getting. But whats with the heart rate? I've ate alot of pot brownies over the years and never had a high heart rate from it.

It can do that.. Especially if you're anxious about taking it.. Not just with eating, but smoking too.. One of my cousins had a panic attack like that when she first smoked weed.. She got scared, and admitted it to my aunt (a nurse), and she said its not that uncommon to hear of in the emergency room, because parents often misunderstand weed, or assume the kid took something more..
And brownies can be more deceptive than smoking the way they creep up on you.. But for that many kids to panic to a nurse?? Thats absurd first of all.. And how dumb are Texans for allowing these kids to play themselves off as innocent victims of chocolate addiction??
Nobody in any HS runs around selling mom's baked goods period.. I don't care what they're priced at.. A kid with an herb garden in his locker selling ribbon tied pouches of oregano and parsley would be less suspicious..

I got one of my friends high the first time without telling him through the use of cookies- while sitting in the dark auditorium full of our entire senior class. As soon as he started to act up I told him and I told him to just sit there silently and enjoy the anti-drug speech we were being made to watch. It blew his mind. He kept asking

"is that all it is? that's what this is all about? I can't believe this is it!" Previously, he had thought getting high was a pretty extreme thing and was adamant against it- now he's a stoner by choice!
