As we all know, the penalty for cultivating marijuana is generally much more severe if you a obviously growing to sell, rather than for your own personal use, and as such, I was advised by several good friends who grow never to keep scales, baggies or large amounts of cash in the same house that you grow in, because then if the worst happens and you get busted, they would try to use that to say you were planning to supply it to others, even if you were only growing a small amount which would otherwise be seen as personal.
I don't need to keep baggies or lots of cash handy, but I'd like to have a set of scales, just to know how much I've harvested. At the moment I borrow some from a friend that has a lot of use for them on the pretence of having bought some weed and wanting to check it's weight. He's a good mate but I don't trust him enough to tell him I'm growing. I made that mistake once before and had to rip down my setup 'cos apparently half the town knew, although nothing ever came of it.
Sorry for the long winded post, if you've got this far, maybe you could tell me what are the chances that a set of digi scales in my house would get a possesion charge bumped up to 'with intent to supply'?

I do not think that not having scales will keep you from not getting charged with sales.They will charge you with sales for growing period.The state i live in will charge you with sales with over a 1/4 oz.I have a freind who took a joint over to a freinds house to smoke,the cops came in and busted them.They charged my freind with distribution for takeing a joint over to smoke.OPH

im saying the filth have to ask the cps and the cps dont like to try and convict you unless cast iron, my m8 was caughy with scales, solids, knife and some cash sitting on the side, the filth raided him and could only do him for pers, everyone has scales

I won't deal with everyonedoesit.com anymore. I ordered a £100 bong off them in early November that they said was in stock, after numerous e-mails asking where it was, they said it was out of stock. I asked for my money back, 2 weeks later they sent me an e-mail saying they had sent it! That was 10th of Jan, and it turned up last week.
I wouldn't have minded if they'd kept me informed, but they basically ignored me, and haven't apologised once for taking 3 months to deliver an item they claimed was in stock. I've bought lots from them before without problems but this has put me right off.
Sorry for the rant, I bet I can find stealth scales on ebay though, thanks for the tip.
