Ok, so here is my story.

The night before Halloween I got shit faced on beer, and wild turkey at a party being held in the apartment up stairs to mine. The next morning, I wake up still kind of drunk, and disoriented. I go down stairs to get back into my apartment, and realize I locked my keys in the house (remember it was a fun night.) So I go around the back, and break my bedroom window to get inside, (again I was still drunk, and didn't think shit through). 10 minutes later the cops show up, and say they have a report of a break in, and robbery attempt at this address.

Stupidly I say yes to have them search the place. The come back out put me in cuffs, and announce that they have found my pot plant (only about 2 weeks old, still a seedling). They hold me for a few hours, and eventually take the cuffs off, then tell me that they are not going to bring me in because I have lots of other non-illegal plants growing, and it was obvious I wasn't growing to sell or distribute.

So they take my plant, pipes, and seeds. Then shake my hand, and leave.

My questions is, should I be worried about being watched by the cops, do you think it is safe to start up another grow, or should I play it safe, and see how it all plays out for a while?

I live in Utah btw, and I am sure you have heard how they treat marijuana cases here.

I think I'd give it some time. You've got a target on your back for the time being.

def put a stop 2 big orders and growing, they are just chomping at the bit 2 put u in on sumthing, maybe u want 2 grow something legal just so after a while they can't bother u? seems like a gud idea

I doubt it matters.. They wanted to scare you, and they did.. Do you know how many idiots have a hobby plant and some seeds? They were pretty straight up with you I think.. What kind of gear did you have? Anything that looks like you're preparing to grow more? If that plant was under a cfl or something they just think you're a tool..
And maybe you are for letting them in.. You should never do that even if the reason is principle alone.. You should have told them you lived there, felt the place was secure, and given them ID with an address, or any ID and a utility bill if its a more temporary home..
Take this as an opportunity to solidify your security protocol, but don't worry too much that they'll be back.. A seedling just doesn't warrant surveilance.. If they wanted to be dicks you'd be arrested already..
(The cuffs were a great touch though.. Sounds like they were pretty good cops)..
