In these hard economic times my friend and I have decided to start growing. Is there any knowledge you old heads can give us, not really about growing but staying out of jail. We have seen never get busted 1 and 2. but is there some more info we should know about? any links you can point me to. thanks

first off im not pro im on my 1st grow aswell but the biggest thing i can say is the more people you tell the higher likelyhood your gonna get fucked in the end there was a really good quote on here i forget the exact thread but it was "loose lips sink ships" and its the truth....to put it into perspective the only person that know im growing is my partner my girl of 4.5 years doesnt even know and id tell her if i found a strange bump on my nutsack if 1 ever came up and thats just covering your ass you might also wanna look up the "keeping a low profile" thread on here. i think it is also dependant on how large of a scale your growing on, i mean if your growing like 5 or under its going to be much harder for the courts to make a case for trafficking (its still very possible) but if u got like 1000 plants and the whole house is going well its alot more high risk/high reward obvously.

But again i would say the biggest thing is to keep your mouth shut even if you think someone is trust worthy if they have cops interogating them and they get offered a deal thats basically "give us some one bigger than you and well drop your charge down significantly" honestly ask yourself would you do extra time for a random buddy?? im not sayin im a rat but i also dont wanna be gettin it up the poop shoot for an extra year or 2 if ya know what i mean. Another solid reason to keep your mouth shut is if your girlfriend knows or people close to you know and they can prove they knew they can be charged with obstruction of justice and maybe more depending on circumstances... So long story short SHUT YOUR MOUTH its always in your best intrest when it comes to this. hope that helped???

As the above poster puts it, the more people that know the higher the chance someone can rat you out to lessen their own problems.

Anyone who knows has you by the balls including the woman in your life. A sudden breakup in the relationship can be your undoing if she really wants to hurt you.

Nothing is ever fullproof either. If you grow and its illegal for you to do so, you are putting yourself at risk. You have to find everyway possible to minimize those risks and go out of your way to do it if you choose to grow.

You also may want to find out what levels of punishments are available for certain amounts of cultivation. There may be a cutoff for mandatory sentences or when the feds will get involved. Know this stuff before you make your decision and plan out everything as best you can well in advance from germination, growing, harvesting, curing and getting rid of it when its all done.

The most important thing to ask yourself is if the risks are worth the rewards.

This is all great info. Its just so sad. You know we live in the last days and that the devil is running this world when everything that is bad for you. Alcohol, tobacco and anti-depressants are legal, But the ultimate medicine that was put on this earth by God is illegal. Well bad idea to be growing with a friend because it takes one persons mouth to get you raided.

Move to a safe access state if you do not already live in one. Get a Doctor prescription for medical cannibus. This will allow you to grow 12 plants or more with proper paper work.

It's about an hour an a half long... The part that may help you out some is where they are talking about how The Union works. It's not the 'end all be all' guide that I think you're looking for.. But, it does shed some light on how the big boys do it and some of the safeguards they have in place.

Don't ever let anyone know that you grow... At best, for business reasons... "you know a guy who knows a guy".

You are looking at going down a path that I personally would never have the balls to go down. But, there are people out there that can and do pull it off every single day. Though most of the people that I've come across on R.U.I. grow for personal consumption... Some grow on a very large scale. You'll know the ones... They'll have several thousands of watts worth of lights and hundred plants. Hypothetically, if for whatever reason I 'had' to make some quick money by selling... I'd sell all of my crop, but what I was going to smoke, to one person that already has a customer base and let them deal with the rest.

I'm by no means an expert and I can't imagine what being forced in to your situation is like... But, I can say with 100% certainty.... DON'T TELL ANYONE and research the hell out of every aspect of what you are planning on doing well before you do it.
