I am going to retire some day and would like to wind up in the right place. Which state in your opinion is most favorable to a small grow and smoke at home for a future retiree?

Ann Arbor, Michigan is a super liberal town when it comes to marijuana laws. When I went to the University of Michigan we had the hash bash every year and if you got caught smoking weed it wasn't a criminal penalty, but simply a $25 civil infraction ticket. No court appearance. Also, homegrown was VERY abundant there, so I am guessing they were growing happily. Not much has changed, but it is definitely still a great city to live in.

CA is pretty damn lenient, depending on your county. Even in the most strict areas, you can legally carry about a pound, and grow 10+ plants. In some counties you can carry 3 lbs, and have 100 sq ft of canopy.
