Last night i got arrested. I live in PA. I was dropping my friend off cuz we just got back from burgerking. Well anyways a cop comes up the road and starts talking to me. Then he see's my friend high and makes him do some tests.

They end up checking the car and finding a Grinder and 2 small roach clips. They put me in cuff's and in the back of the car. They never read me my rights and took me to the police station. This is my first offense. I didn't even give them permission to search the car. What are the chances of getting off not guilty. The clips weren't mine but the cop said since they are in my car its mine. What do i do? Do i try and fight it or just take the fines? Thanks

hate to put it so bluntly but nothing you can do

a cop only has to read you your rights in a violent crime or one where he knows that your are going to be tried infront of a jury

in your case youll get sum fines and some community service probably

and it will be on your record

What can they arrest you on they didnt find any weed or is it illegal to have those things I didnt think so.

THE JUSTICE SYSTEM SUCKS, thats first off. I got arrested for somethign similar a few months ago and it has made my life hell. I forgot to put my headlights on leaving a 7-11(worst mistake ever) and like a minute later i remembered and then they pulled me over, started sniffing around liek the dogs they are, pulled me out on suspision (thaats the thing , they don't have to ask you to search your car if they smell it or think your high, both in my case) and checked my pocket , i had 4 1/8ths in one cargo and a 1/4 in the other , then found like a half smoked spliff under my seat. Oh well it sucks but i learned my lesson, big time...ANother thing, they 100% do no have to read you your miranda rights if they have proof of something there, im not sure the exact laws about it but like if your caught in the act of drunk driving they def. wont read them to you , same if your caught smoking, i think anything like that...the only time they will is if its real serious like murder or robbery ya know....i got arrested a few years ago and said the same thing, asked the officer i fi could see a seargent, he came over i was like "sir the officers never read my miranda rights" he laughed and said "what do you think this is the fucking movies", i'll never forget that.

They accused me of being high, but i wouldnt piss in a cup for them so they took my liscense away and i got a charge of driving while high, which in NY is worse then drunk driving( go figure, fucking assholes) excuse me for my language but writing this is making me pist about the whole thing. also a possesion charge which i actually got switched to soemthing lower. On top of that i was driving a new car which wasnt registered (another way way too long story ) and they impounded it and gave me tickets for no reg. no inspection, etc. Took me a month to get the title and out of the impound lot ( thats another industry that can lick my balls) cost me over a $1000 to get it out. I got a great lawyer though.

So mine was pretty bad, yours isnt as bad i don't think. Did they arrest you for driving high?

I don't think you'll get into to much shit for it, but i'd say get a lawyer.

lmao.... fuck PA. i was caught smoking a joint outside on the patio at a huge place, 12 cops approached me... literally not over reacting and they asked how much i had on me, i told them just that joint and i said i wouldnt light it up again and they let me go back into the patio lol good story...

No I wasn't high, only buzzed. the passenger's were high.

i assume there was sum weed stuck to the sides in the grinder... and the roach clips even a lil bit of resin... i was arrested in pa with 2 1/2 ounces and the cops only wrote me up for 13 grams... they got two free ounces of sum good shit and smoked it too there face

Their was only a little bit of kief in the grinder but they didn't open it up. At first they thought the clips were regular cigar clips. They said i was getting charged with "small amount possession, and drug parephanilia"

if their was a little keif in the grinder theres the small possession and the paraphernalia is the grinder and or the roach clips


sucks dude really does but if its your first offense then you should just get a slap on the wrist

and if you want to go through the expense of having to hire a lawyer he might be able to get the charges dropped to just paraphernalia

Yea it was a first offense, but still. Do you think it would be worth it to get a lawyer? Think the charges could get dropped? The cop said if i fight it he will criminalize me or something like that? He also said if i go to classes by this time next year the charge will be dropped?
