so, I got caught w/ 3 plants 2day. Maintenance at my apt found them and called the cops. Anyway I told them a friend gave me the seeds and told me they were tomatoes. They took the plants to get them tested. They were only 2 weeks old and the cops actually believed they were tomato plants but does any1 know how they test the plants and if there is any chance I will get away with it?

You wont "get away" with it. Even if it was a hemp or ditchweed plants, bladed leaves = mj charge regardless of quality. I'd be skipping town right about now, or hiring an attorney while I still can before being put behind bars and having to phone random ones. Since you said your friend gave you seeds and you thought they were tomato plants, you've just admitted they're yours and that you were growing them. Hope you didnt give your friends name up. Jury is never going to believe you were growing tomatos in some ghetto closet setup that was hidden either.

Clean your apartment, car up from all illegal items that they have not found yet and especially scales, baggy's, any other contraband and your computer if you have something they shouldnt see on it. Like a gallery on rollitup or something. They will tear your place apart when they come back after those plants test positive. With some luck your attorney can hopefully get it tossed out for illegal entry / search, or plea guilty to personal use. Good luck.

Just say your friend gave you the seeds and he wanted you to sprout them because he was on vacation. get a good lawyer

Call a lawyer right now bro . . . Check your state laws. Cops are dumb but not that dumb they know its pot, though I'm not sure how sensitive their THC tests are for plant material.

yah that's y I was wonderin how they test the plant cuz if it's by thc, I don't know if my plant has any thc yet

well yah I'm thinkin the plant dying thing is a possibility. A pair of cops actually waited 4 me to get home from work today but I asked him when I would no anything about it and he said several weeks at the very soonest. I also looked up state laws and with the amount that I had, it would just b considered misdemeanor possession

Are you sure? Cultivation in most states is a felony. Some states lump cultivation and possession together and the cops will weigh the whole plant pot and all and say you have 10lbs of pot. Or they will say each plant counts as one pound ect. My favorite is when you hear about these busts and they find like 40 seedlings and say the street value is over one million. This is why you need a lawyer he will know what kind of crap the DA is allowed to pull in your states court house.
