OMG BEEF'S AT IT AGAIN! AREA 51 AF240 ** BCBD 'The Purps'** SCROG!

Ok, guys and gals I'm starting a new journal with a new setup, a new(old) strain, and a renewed passion! I've decided to do a scrog this time, trying to maximize yield and have less plants! Anyways, here's the nitty gritty!

This is the small tent, (Purps on left, C99 on right) no scrogging going on here - just 2 plants freshly transplanted into 3 gallon pots that will get flipped within the next 2 weeks. What's weird is that the Purps is already budding, even though it's on 24h straight light. Weird....


This is the new setup. Kind of ghetto, but it'll do. I'm using 60L recycling bins for each plant, I want them to be huge!

they are both budding!? Maybe they fucked up and sent you autoflowering seeds!! now that would suck! they wont get much bigger if they are already budding .. you may want to start something else!!

Subbed for sure. Your last journal as well as TheDawgs grow convinced me to go with area 51 for my next tent. Gonna wait for the new series after the new year. Good luck

Yeah dude, it's strange. They were 24/0 all while they were seedlings, then I set them to 18/6 and they were fine. I noticed pre-flowers and didn't think much of it, but when I got back from vacation they were frickin budding! I'm going to keep them in the small tent and grow them out, just for shits and giggles! I just transplanted them, so I'm expecting them to be a bit stunted, so I'll wait until I see a little growth before flipping them to 12/12.

The big tent, with the AF240 is getting two new from seed, I put them in water tonight, both 'The Purps'.

I would flip em to 12/12 right away! and try not to shock them! Are you sure you friend did not fuck with those as well? they look like they are 2 weeks into budding!! either this or they are autoflowers and I would never order from that place again. I mean if you were on 16-8 or 14-10 I would understand but 18-6 even if they show preflowers they will not bud ... to my knowledge!!

Yea buddy I'm on time to this show. I'm approximately 58.367% less excited than you for this grow

The one furthest along is actually "The purps" and the other small plant is C99.... both are photoperiod plants... : / I switched them to 12/12 today, we'll see what happens... I bet they're so god damn confused it's ridiculous right about now.... Not sure what happened honestly, it's very strange.....

Also, the two 'The Purps' seeds that I had put in water last night, sank this morning when touched. So, they've gone into paper towel, in a ziplock bag, ontop of the PS3! They should 'pop' in the next few days, which means they're going into dixie cups sometime this week! Fingers crossed!

BTW; I fucking love these Rapid Rooters.... they're the shit. Germ in paper towel, soak the Rapid Rooter in water and squeeze it a few times to soak up the water, dig the hole out with a pen a bit, plop the seed in and wait a day... lol Works every time...

Following with great interest! Can't wait to see the purps run with these lights!

I started a 'mystery seed'... Not sure which strain, but the seed looked amazing! Awesome black swirls on a dark brown seed! Very neat patterns, and the seed cracked after only one night in paper towel, anxious little bugger.....

So, the mystery seed died - it cracked the shell, but it didn't sprout.

Any who, here's some pics!



This is the mutant Purps. I call her "Pat", she started flowering on her own, on an 18/6 cycle...


This is my C99 lady, I call her Cindy. I took one of the branches and bent it over to open up the plant to more light. I tied it to one of the other branches to support it. You can see the string in the picture!


These are my two Purps ladies, coming along nicely.

Hey Guys

Hours of daylight is only one factor. I have 3 different hydro set ups. 2 grows back I was at 14/10 using Hydro-Research VEG+BLOOM . When I upped ppm from 250 to 500, the plants sexed within a few days. I dropped back to 400 and they reverted to veg. I love V+B

BB I was having problems losing seeds when I transfered (or germed) in paper towels. Once the root hairs grab onto the paper removing is often deadly. Now I pop in water + a few grains of sea salt. When they pop I leave them until the tap root gets 1/4"+, I use tweezers to extract and plop them into the starter cube
