is this light the same as my 336x3 from FERO?
Hmmm... not sure? It's the AF-240.... it's 439W and the spectrum is as follows;

Helixeon Royal Blue 440nm and 445nm
Helixeon Red 630-640nm
Helixeon Deep Red 640-650nm, 650-660nm, 660-670nm,
Helixeon Far Red 730-740nm,
Helixeon 4260k white.

The ratio is per each 15 LEDs are:

440-445nm x1
445-450nm x1
4260k x2
630-640nm x2
640-650nm x2
650-660nm x3
660-670nm x3
720-730nm x1

In my small tent I have x2 Blackstar 180's and a Pro-Grow 180....

I don't use LED, but the plants look great. How far is that large light from the plants? I know the lights are expensive...how many do you have? LOL we posted at the same time..I see what lights you are using :)
Good luck!!

They've grown up towards the light quite a bit, the widow is only about 8 inches away now - the rest are about 14-16"...

Yeah I took a stint away, but it's great to be back! I tried a few other grow sites, but they tend to suck.... lol This is where I started, seems fitting I end up back in the mix!

Did you determine height by area covered? I don't know if heat is an issue. I understand the savings in electricity and even cooling, but the LED's I was originally looking at were very expensive and I wasn't sure about plant penetration. I also read that they are great for veg.

Actually the light is designed to cover a 39x39" area, or 48x48" max... so all I did was set the light up and away I went! :D

All LED's are quite expensive, Area-51 seems to have the best 'bang for buck' so far.... Higher quality components, and only marginally more expensive.

The actual LED's in the AF-240 are much brighter than my other panels, (probably the lenses partially) and the heatsinks/fans are FAR superior to the other units I own.

The fans appear to be 120mm, move a bunch of air, yet are whisper quiet. My Pro-Grow sounds like a frickin' turbine engine!

OH, OK. Makes sense. I have T-5's in one tent and 2 600w MH and HPS systems in the big tent...need to run an A/C in the tent LOL.

I've seen some LED products not on most of the sites that sell them...big and very expensive. As the LED light industry matures I suppose the products will both improve and eventually the pricing will come down...maybe. Like I said I was looking at very expensive stuff.

I will not be using MG organic again.... I've had the best luck in Pro-mix with extra Perlite added.

SO MANY BUGS in the Mg Organic... lol Good thing I have a metric fuck tonne of Cold pressed, 2500ppm, Neem seed oil! :D

HydrogrowLED makes hella expensive panels; There's no way I could justify paying more than 2x the price for a similar panel to my AF-240. Fuck that. lol

Jeff from Area-51 also mentioned an all CREE/Philips board in the works as well, you can bet dollars to donuts it will be EXPENSIVE!

It'll be at least 6 harvests before I can reinvest in lighting...we'll see what's available then. I usually buy for the future, but the future is going to have to sit there until I catch up LOL.
Thanks for the conversation.

ok its different light I think mine draws 540watts. But if its anything like my FERO max you will not be disappointed thats for sure. Was the Widow grown under the AREA or you just got the light?
