Amaximus' Half-Assed CFL/LED First Grow™

It's been a while since I made edibles myself, I have a buddy that I give all my trim to that makes butter and edibles out of for me, so I'll check in with his butter recipe because it's some K.O. stuff. I usually wake up with hangovers from the stuff he bakes. You can try adding more trim/fluff but then you'll have to balance that potentcy vs taste issue, my personal preference is to not taste the ganja in my edibles because then when I eat non-herbalized variations of the same food I can recall the herb taste with every bite. I can say that edibles don't affect everyone the same, especially heavy smokers or heavy-set individuals or people with high metabolisms as more is usually required to get the effects.

Hey puff, If you have a buddy that is experienced with cooking then yeah, I'd love if you could ask him for me just to see if I'm making any obvious mistakes. If it is a potency issue that is fine. Then at least I can correct it. I just don't want to find out I'm cooking at too high of a temperature and vaping my thc away or some other stupid thing. Maybe just ask about cooking temperatures when baking with the butter and temps regarding making the butter itself? Also how much he uses per pound of butter? I used an ounce and a half. heh. Anyway, I'm babbling. Thanks puff, No rush on that just a "whenever"

Dont'cha just loving finding a grow thread and reading through page after page? I sure do. Glad you enjoyed the read. Thanks for hoping aboard. The show is almost over as I only have the Sweet Black Angel remaining but the new grow is right around the corner!

I can't seem to get my damn second grow off the ground. The Blueberry Gum hasn't successfully germed yet, I'm not sure it will. I popped open a Critical Kush and started germing that. In 3 more days if nothing shows a taproot I'm popping a damn White Widow!

Right now the kings of my grow room are the party cups girls! lol.

I am glad to have 5 years warranty on my lights, that's what make the difference, we pay so much money for them damn light in hopes that they will last 10 years, There is no way I would buy an expensive unit without at least 3 years warranty on them from now on. The good thing though you didnt have to send it to China!

seriously I am sure they were just hoping you wouldnt notice to save a few bucks, ... I am not impressed by them blackstar, they grow buds fine (just like many other LEDs) but too many issues overall. I can't believe they sent you an old panel!

Luckily I haven't bought any expensive LED's yet. Just Blackstar.

My first impression was that they sent a refurb on purpose hoping I wouldn't make a fuss. It might be true, I have no way of knowing. As long as they rectify the situation I'm kind of OK with it. Let's also keep in mind that at some point I will have that extra unpaid for panel that they expect me to ship back to them. So anymore jerking around and I may just keep everything.

As for Blackstar themselves. Let's face it we all know they're the cheap entry level panels. While I am not overly impressed by Blackstar, the panels, for the price, are fine. The only real problem I see with them is that melting diode problem that they fessed up to and are willing to fix, free of charge, to anyone with a warranty. Past that I haven't seen any major issues brought up regarding the Blackstars. Unless i missed something?

As for the warranty. Yeah, One year. It is what it is. It only needs to make it another 8 months, then these panels will be eBay'd anyway.

Hopefully the panel will be here today or tomorrow, Not that I need it just yet...

PS - Critical Kush has popped and has been put into a cup. Still waiting on that Blueberry Gum.

Just popping in to let everyone know I came home and there was the brand spanking new 2012 blackstar replacement just sitting there waiting for me. Sent out Friday, here on Monday. Good enough for me. Tested it out fast, it works, no problems. Warranty honored. yada yada yada. Ok, Time to smoke.
