LED Flowering/Flowering Period with HGL 3rd Gen Lights

Anyone using the Hydro Grow LED 3rd Generation lights (added green spectrum) notice any difference in the flowering period ? I have been scouring the web looking for comments on this, but with no success. Did read the NASA report that claimed faster growth with the correct percentage of green added to the blue and red.

Have seen comments that with LEDs (not HGL) the flowering period is longer and that the trichs remain milky for a longer period before turning amber, but no real evidence... this may be a result of weak LED panels, dunno.

Whatsa LED jocks ?

What I want to know is why is NASA publishing a report on photosynthesis...

I mean, even regarding growing veggies in space, I would still think that NASA would have outsourced that to plant experts, rather than conducting thier own research.

I am using the third gen HGL's also. I spoke to my trimmer today as this would normally be harvest time, told him to call back next week.

I admit to using an actinic HID in the old growroom to speed up oil production (8 days earlier), but the plant looks to be two weeks behind that. Making it later than previously experienced.

A side effect is the buds are still getting larger. I put the actinic in with the LED's a couple days ago to see if things will speed back up.

Personally i would never do business with HGL. do some searching on google with +rollitup type booleans.

If you need to warranty your light, and dont happen to phrase things just right or kiss enough ass, the HGL owner might just contact your local police and attempt to rat you to them for growing an illicit substance and/or stealing products from their company.

Yeah thats a business i want to give money to.

Thanks, Phaeton, please let me know. I seem to be ahead or on schedule with some JW Blueberry and TGA Vortex at 50 days. Using the 186X and have used HGL lights before with very good results...

Alas, bigotry is not based in the real world.

I had two of the lens assemblies quit eight days after installation. The sales rep had me take a picture of the failed unit, fourteen of the lens assemblies were still functioning. I checked the power supplies, they were good. HGL has a two sets of the LED arrays on the way, UPS gave notice of shipment.
Meanwhile I am still using the rest of the light.
Pretty damn good warranty work.
And I did check out that "arrested if you complain" bullshit, yep, bullshit all the way, bigotry is not based in the real world, these LED's are.

Yup, Phaeton, I have talked with all the people at HGL and think they are on top of the LED light business. I dealt with many electronic assembly suppliers over a 38 year career with a large US company and I know a well designed and effective product when I see it. Their customer service and delivery has been good, too.

There is such a bias against LEDs out there it is amazing. For a small cab, low heat grow, a quality LED light is the only way to go. Yield and quality are great in my experience.
