210W LED Big Bang 2 Grow

Had these flowering for 4 days now. They were in veg for about 7 weeks, went through a bit of a rough time with a bit of neut burn and they were root bound for about a week or so. Looking a lot healthier now. Let me know what your thoughts are. Cheers

nice grow can you tell me why people use leds? vs cfl and hps
The main benefits of LED are lower heat, specific spectrum targeting, decreased power use (both direct and indirect), no need to replace for several years, and quieter operation.

i disagree on the quiet operation my blackstar 500 could be heard over my extractor fans acctual draw 200w+ leds are anything but quiet they dont run cooler they run hotter then hps its just that heat is not directed at the plants its internal an exhusted out the top an away by your extractor

Yeah what? haha. Mines run at around 24 Degrees C. And the only noise from them is the fans on the top but i dont hear them at all, my extractor fan makes most noise.
Yeah mine too, I'm running a 100watt Blackstar and 180Watt Blackstar, and they do make some noise, but not as much as my inline fan... not even close. And as for the heat, I don't know what that guy is talking about; they barely produce any heat at all the air coming out of the top of the case is mildly warm at most.

open your case put a thermometer on your heatsinks and tell me led runs cooler then hps ambient tempreture yes on smaller models operating temp not even close

200w+ acctual led draw not including fans , blackstar 500 , 600 , 900 , magnum 357 , pro-grow 400 an 550 etc etc

your blackstar 180 pulls 90-100w total watts including fans your 100w ufo about 45w total yes they are quiet and cooler because they are small and underpowered in comparison to say the blackstar 500 which is 300w, large model leds are not as quiet or as cool as companies would have you belive

alot of these comments show how little people acctualy know about the technology or the brands they have dropped $$$ into , not having a go at you but an easy example is your 280w led grow your not using 280w of led at all , blackstar mislead with there marketing and dont list acctual watts

perhaps a thread detailing advertised watts to acctual led draw of the brands is in order to help people better understand and wade through the marketing gimmicks

I understand the difference between using 60 3 watt chips, and actual draw. The 500w Blackstar draws about 306watts, and has of the exact same fans my Blackstars have, just more of them.

I could take every fan I have, The Blackstars, my x2 136CFM axial fans that are 50db each, my floor fan, and 4" induction fan, and it wouldn't be as loud as my exhaust fan on full.

the blackstar 500 draws 300w on the dot

i dont think you do understand otherwise you would list your led grow at the proper watts ....
and didnt i already say your small under powered leds are quiet compared to larger leds

the blackstar 500 uses differnt fans altogether at a much higher rpm please do not spread more misinformation then you already have

I call them by what they're called, not the make believe names you decide to give them based upon actual wattage. Blackstar 100watt + Blackstar 180watt. That's what they're called.

Mr.19 posts.... lol

Why don't you read some of the grow journals on this website before opening your ignorant mouth, all you do is bash any LED company you don't personally like.

so now you think post count matters ? sounds like your clutching at straws matey

ive already stated the blackstars leds work are best bang for buck and i was happy with them , im not bashing any company

im stating clear facts based on my experience

why so defensive ? why the deliberate misinformation ? is it deliberate or are you just stupid

What "facts" are you stating? That the fans on the Blackstar 500 are louder than a 100+ watt Inline fan?

LMFAO

a 100w 136cfm inline fan ? that would be some record for Inefficiency

yes the fans on any 200w+ acctual draw led from any led company are loud due to the nature of type of fan and the rpm required , blackstars are much louder due to cheaper quality parts used to hit there price point

its pretty simple

113 watts actually, and 165 CFM....

The 136CMF axial fans I have can't handle the static pressure an inline fan can. They are loud, because they're quality 120mm fans generally used for servers and bench marking.

LED panels use computer fans, and a few PC fans (especially cheap Blackstar fans) aren't louder than a decent inline exhaust fan.
