I am the last pirate, from KW Fla, now happily residing in the Chattanooga Tn area. I started growing again about 3 months ago, now into the third week of flowering. I used to grow in college (anyone remember Gainesville Green?) Yeah, I am older than the dirt I grow in.
I took over our "guest" room for a greater purpose. I am set up with 4 400w MH and 4 400w HPS. I also have a couple of 1000w HPS to fall back on. I discovered that a manufacturing plant was being demolished, so I went in and bought the MH and HPS high bay lights, complete w/bulbs and reflectors, for $40 each.
What started out as a small project has turned out to be an avocation. I figure as long as I'm gonn do it, I'm gonna do it right.
I started out with 6 nice little beauties, but our little rat dog knocked a floro fixture onto one, killing it, and another succumbed to over attention.
Out of the four left, I have 2 confirmed females, another not showing yet due to being topped, and one that show definate female signs, yet looks a bit different from the other 2 females. It could be a hermie, but I dont see any pollen sacs (balls) yet so I'm keeping a close eye on it. (Anyone got a good close-up of a hermie?)
Nice resource ya'll got going on here. I'm sure I'll learn alot, since things have changed a whole lot since I last broke earth. I'm indoors only now, and really don't want to get into the whole hydroponics thing. 4 gal buckets and dirt I understand, so I'll stick with that.
Here are a couple of pics of the girls, and the set up. They are not real current, plants are bigger, and there are alot more lights up. I am changing things around as I go.
