Depending on where you live and what Industry is near you Rain water can actually be worse than tap water ...
Rain in an industrial area can contain higher levels of contaminates and really fuck your plants big time ,But on the other hand If you live in a country area far from Industry you could benifit alot more than tap water ...

You can buy a water testing unit which will tell you what Ph what ppmillion and what contaminates are in your water ...
