Is your cabinet fireproof?
Hey everyone.
I'm sick and tired of all the crap weed, so I'm thinking of trying my hand at growing.
Iv got a couple of friend that have tried there hand at growing, but i don't want to ask them for help unless i really need to. the less people that know the better (Right)
I want to build a cab in a small room in my basement. The dimensions are roughly HxWxD 5feet, 4feet, 2feet. Plan A.jpg
I haven't gotten all the dimensions down yet. its still in the planing stages.
The veg, clone and mother room will be running cfl.In the flower room I'm going to be using a cool tube.
What I'm wondering is should i go with 400W hps or 600W hps for flowering? I'm not sure what the heat output will be. The room it will be inn is kind of cold all year. It stays around 50 F.
Iv read a lot about this stuff. but I'm still a total noob, so any and all advice is appreciated.
Is your cabinet fireproof?
I actually only grow long stemmed roses. I think the government should make laws against that stuff(pot). If you can afford it donate to seed banks to ensure the species.
right, loose lips sink ships. the search function is your best friend.
Welcome Morbo!! Sounds like you have the first rule of growing down: Don't tell anyone you grow - especially your gf or "best friend". Best wishes with your grow!
Yeah I agree.. "crap-weed" blows dude. I'm not even sure how that is made these days except for maybe grown with absolutely no care at all. I run 2 600W but my space is a bit bigger. you could get away with something even smaller in that space but you need to be mindful of height.
Some good advice here about LST, Super-cropping, and/or FIM'ing. There's just tons of stuff on that ( I needed pictures ). The thing to remember is that more Watts = more heat . You wanna get the lights as close as possible without harming them. You can get a 250W closer that a 400W, and a 400W closer than a 600W, etc. so... If ur light is too far away then ur bud formation and density will or may suffer (not to mention heat and thats a biotch to deal with sometimes).
There's a formula for lumens per square foot. Figure out what ur actual square footage is (4 x 2? or 5 x 2?) and what lumens you will need to cover ur area. I have that same size tent that I use for my mothers and babies, and I run a 4' x 6 (lights), High Output T5's . Too big a light is as bad or worse then too small. Hope this helps, I'm no expert but I read read read everything I can find all the time, just my .02 worth. GL with the grow.
