Startin' up tokin' again

Hey folks! I have been hanging around here, and finally joined. I used to smoke ganja, but after I had my kid stopped. But now, I am starting back up. I ordered Salvia, thinking that would be a good substitute, but that fucked me up. Still got some, but I don't know when I will touch that shit again.
Drinking - well, let's just say that is not good for you. I finally figured out that I don't like being drunk, but that was the legal high I could easily get.
Now, after hitting some weed after a long time, I decided that I can start smokin' again. That's the best high! And now I want to grow my own stuff, so I don't have to keep finding it. I hear about all of these great strains that I want to try! I think I have only had schwag. I am going to start with buying a stealth grow box (looks to complicated to make my own) and order seeds. Just trying to figure out where to send the seeds to. I hear that you don't want to send it to where you grow, but I live in the 'burbs, so I don't have any abandon house to send it to. PO box sounds too risky. Anyone got any other ideas?

hello and welcome to the forum. salvia instead of pot, funny. i've smoked pot forever and dare not even try salvia. good call on putting that away. we all know alcohol a killer. another good call. so you want to grow weed? very nice. i, personally, wouldn't worry to much about having seeds shipped to my house. if you don't have a grow up and running there's not much you can get in trouble for. maybe order the seeds before everything else. hope it all goes well. happy growing

Thanks fdd! I was trying to figure out which to order first - the seeds or the grow box. I can order seeds and freeze them, then get the grow box, then have my own stash for me!
You know what's funny - and sad? That I don't mind drinking in front of my teenager, but I will feel strange letting her know I smoke. We have talked about it, but I think it will be an adjustment for me more than for her. I don't want her doing either until she is an adult, but I would rather her skip the beer and cosmos and smoke/eat weed.
That salvia - I ordered it because I heard it was going to be illegal soon and wanted to try it before that happened. I watch the funny videos on YouTube. But I don't like that trip at all! marijuana - I used to smoke it all of the time. Love the high. Only stopped because I was pregnant. But it's been 16+ years later and it's time for me to live my life as I want to again!

Welcome to the forum and God Bless. Wow I couldn't imagine quitting for 16 years. You must have very strong will power.

Thanks! It got easier, but after a while it got harder. I don't know why, but when I was offered that joint a few months back, I just finally said that it was time to start tokin' again. My Christmas present to myself will be a grow box and seeds. By March, some good stuff to smoke! I hate trying to get some from dealers - I always got it from a boyfriend. Now that I know I can be my own supplier, I can keep tokin' and not worry about where I am going to get it, and who is going to tell who.

Question for some of you - do you have kids and do they know you smoke weed?

welcome - this is a GR8 community with lots of helpful and friendly people. I totally understand where ur coming from - I stopped mostly in about 1988, and only really got the bug again in 2004 - and now growing my first crop. I am excited about it.

BTW - no need to freeze the seeds...just in a dark dry place is fine - I bought some last year - grew shroomies in the meantime - totally fun! and only now have pulled out my seeds. 5 of 6 germinated in within 48 hrs.

pardon my ignorance - what was it about salvia that was such a turn off - I am very seriously thikning I'd like to take a trip to the Amazon and do a tradtional ayahuasca trip.... but that's for another time.

Tahoe58 - thanks for the info about not having to freeze the seeds! I was thinking of ingenious ways of storing it in the freezer!

Salvia - I ordered it online, then I smoked it in a coke/pop/soda can. I took 3 tokes. The first 2 - nothing. I took the third - then all I know is that I saw a spiral, and everything was spiraling towards the center. I tried to reach out and stop the spiral - but I couldn't. At that point, I realized that the effect was the salvia, that I was somewhere in my bedroom/closet/toilet and I couldn't move. All I could do was watch the spiral and wait until it stopped. I felt like I had no control. It may have only lasted 5 minutes, but it felt like hours. NOTHING like being high. I never did shrooms, so I can't compare the feeling. Based on my salvia experience, I don't think I will try shrooms. You will have to tell me what's that's like. Under the conditions of an tradtional ayahuasca trip - maybe.... You will have to tell us what that is. I know salvia can help with discovery of the inner soul and other meaningful experiences - but I would need the guide of a shaman to help me understand why I would want to experience that again.....

hey...cool thanks for the feedback. shrooms are gentle, depending on doseage. I like them cuz they are (for me) perma-smile - total bliss, a happy place, but like I have said elsewhere - I don't does like some people say ur supposed to. I have not got up the nerve to go into the next dimension ....yet. sounds to me like Salvia is prolly not for me either.
