I am a brit recently moved to Spain to be with my girlfriend and I am very happy indeed to have done so. I like to smoke occasionally along with my girlfriend so we planted some seeds for the first time back in April.

I have had a good old read of this site for the last 2 weeks and have found it amazingly rich in tips and help. I even downloaded "Weeds" a US TV series recommended on here, its fab, I'm on season 3 already and every shows a cliffhanger. Cheech and Chong "Up in Smoke" I saw for the first time the other day, also I saw recommended on here. On the growing front I can only say I wish I had read / found more earlier, made tons of mistakes

My mate posted me some seeds from England and we popped 6 in little pots back in April. We kept them outside (on our little terrace) the whole time and I picked the tallest 3 (possibly my first mistake) a few months ago. I chopped the smallest (possibly my second mistake) when it got over crowded and another when 1 branch only went to male flowers, panic, panic.

So now I have my one little tree (pics included) very, very sativa (good I like a real buzzy high) and I am praying its a lady. I am tooo dumb to see pre-flowers and tooo inexperienced to even see whether the new leaf growth is bud or just new leaf growth. I switched to a floral fertilizer a few days ago to try and encourage it to flower.

When I chop it I may try and prune a 3rd of it earlier than normal and water cure. I am guessing I may get a real buzzy high from this. Then I will air cure the rest, bake a little and give the most away to my new spanish friends (everyone smokes here, my local hairdressers is hilarious, hairdresser is a top geezer and cuts well especially when he's high, funny clientelle everyones always smokin).

Just read that organic thread all 30 pages, fab maybe its the only thing I did right, keeping organic I mean.

wow, what a plant. welcome to the forum. where did you find the weeds series? i've been looking for it. i've seen season 1 and 2 but have not seen season 3.

lovely jubbly mate... and thanks for the pic's. The second one def' looks like a fem'... and as you only have one plant, I'd say you've got it nailed.


Next year though... I'm sure you're meant to plant a little earlier... is that right?

Next year I want to produce maybe 2 trees yet smaller than this one, it would fit my space better, its a bit dangerous having 1 tree so tall. I am also going to do the clone and flower test to make sure my 2 trees are good. I plan on buying 10 seeds (and splitting with a friend here in Spain) of a indica / sativa mix and will plant earlier if thats what it takes, cheers for the advice.

I think I should buy a good book to get a base knowledge and just enhance that on here. have also seen on here that any book by Ed Rosenthal should be good but a lot look out of date. I'll keep lookin.

Ed Rosenthal is THE MAN, IMO. If he says it's so... I believe him. Jorges cervantes is an excellent idea too. Just google them, the info' is all out there for free.

Or you could ask fdd', he's THE MAN on this site when it comes to outdoor growing. The rest of just basque in his immense poundage...
