So, ive been checking this site out for a while now, staying in the background and sucking up as much info as i possibly can. I kinda figured it was time to come out of my shell, meet some people and figure out how to use the functions of this site...which obviously ive had a hard time doing!...I tried to post a thread the other day but dont think it worked
Anyways to give anyone a little info about what im into, what ive been looking into and what im planning, here gowes....At first i was unsure of what type of grow i wanted to do, but i was really interested in hydroponics! So after researching I decided that i would eather go with a version of bio buckets, or Recirculating DWC....Oh I diddent mention that space is an issue at this point, so anything i do has to be on a smaller scale... I ended up getting a HydroHut silver edition 2*4*7 and decided that because of the size restraint i ought to go with the RDWC setup
Originally when i started this project I would just wait untill i had enough money saved up to get another part of the system complete and go at it...lately things have been moving a little, or alot quicker. So far I have the resivor and controller built...the tent is set up, as well as most of the RDWC set up and plumbed. I ended up using 4 5 gal buckets...I hope everything works as well as it looks! the DIY job looks sweet and in theory should work properly!. the Light is hung and is ran by a 400 watt Future Bright Electronic ballast, My air is supplied by an aquaactive commercial air pump which puts out 45 liters of air per minute. I hope that will be enough air,if not ill get another pump and split them each 2 ways instead of 1, 4 ways...Now each bucket gets like 11.25 liters of air per min, if i got two pumps it would double at 22.5. I havent bought the diffusers yet but the ones im lookin at require alot of air so that might be the deciding factor. anyone ever use the micro pore air diffusers sold by sunlight supply? I like the way the Hog 2x diffuser looks. As far as ventilation im using carbon filter and 4" inline 170 cfm fan which pulls air from the highest point of the tent through the filter then pushes it through my reflecter which is air cooled, then out into a crawl space. Im thinking of adding a duct booster to help move the warm air out a little quicker since the run of duct is longer. Not sure if this will help?
Well I guess thats about where im at, im waiting for the rest of my money to come in next month! cant wait...Im planning on getting an activeaqua 1/10 Hp chiller, and anything else ive neglected to of forgot to mention or buy as of yet! Ive been trying to figure out how it would be effective or feasable to run Co2 enrichment but i just havent figured that one out. Obviously this wasent in my original plans but im willing to make the changes to accomodate this addition. within reason! It may just be to difficult to keep temps down and smell in and scrubbed! I tried to start a thread to get opinions and help with this project but i guess i did something wrong because i cant find it anywhere! Well i was about to finish this post up but i figured i would mention that my first grow will be a SCROG...already built trellis but am waiting to figure out how high it needs to be before i put the legs on it!
I would say that this project should be built and complete by the 3rd week of september, but i cant start the action untill november due to technical issues...safety first! If anyone is interested in giving advice or following my progress into the first grow let me know...ill do my best to figure out how to post pics and start a thread where it is suppose to be!...I do have alot of questions and am welcome to any input or ideas!

Thanks for the response! I sure hope I get some more feedback, there is tons of info in these threads and alot of peeps who seem to know what they are doing and good at it. Seems like its not as easy to get advice here as it is in some other sites? I know a little and seem to have a green thumb but we all have questions from time to time.... sharing a common interest we should be more willing to help one another out!....Just speaking from what ive been seeing, most of the info i get and is useful is from older posts. where did everyone go?\

Try to shorten your questions to one or two at a time. Dont forget we are all stoners here and dont want to read too much lol... If you have any questions Id be glad to help. The FAQ at the top of the page has alot of info.

Dirt....yeah.. my bad...i was just trying to get people up to date with me and my plans.. introduce myself and all that good stuff but it turned into more than that as you can see...lol.. there are just so many people here with lots of great experience. I want to learn everything i can and try not to make any stupid mistakes while doing so, although ill probably learn more from my mistakes than anything else as it usually happens that way! anyways thanks for the reply...if you dont mind ill get with you and see if you might have some ideas or opinions regarding my project and plans.
