Howdy all,

I go by Ifishdizzy, and am a medical user in one of the good states. Been hanging around here for a couple weeks till I got my bearings and thought I should at least introduce myself.

Not a kid anymore by far (I remember gas at .25 per GAL) and was a recreational user back in my 20's, but had to drop the herb for work reasons. Hadn't touched it for 20 years till it was recommended for a severe vestibular/inner ear disease my body decided to present me with. It can't cure the disease (no worries, the doctors can't either) but there is nothing in the world that manages the symptoms as well as good old Sativa.

I've never in my life wanted to grow or garden anything, but the idea of legally growing my own herb as medicine is something I am really looking forward to getting into. I've prepared a nice space, and it is secure in my garage as a separate room. I didn't do this for stealth as I can legally grow as much as I can smoke (don't have and never had interest in being "commercial"), and if I did try and got nailed I would lose the one medicine I need most, as my only other option are Valium and it and I don't get along well plus it is addictive and that scares the hell out of me.

Going to need a lot of help, but will post lots of pics, etc. in the Grow Journal I'll be starting this weekend. I'm a true newbie at the growing part, but have read as much as I can here on this great site...plus, I do learn fast when I am totally focused. I'm looking forward to suggestions (hopefully) on how to set up my new growing space of about 8 ft. wide x 12 ft. long x 8 ft. high.

I'll try not to be too big of a pain-in-the-ass..

I'm workin on it boss...

My first seed just cracked tonight...couple more days and it'll be ready to get rolling. Still, I've got to finish building the grow room, and know I've got at least 2 full weekends of work to put into that. Being self employed means a 50 hr. work week is not unusual, as well.

Made some firm measurements tonight of the room, and I've basically got 12' X 7 ft. 6" X 7' ceiling. I think it's gonna work fine for the 15 or so plants I want to have in various stages of growth, I've just got to figure out what to put where.

welcome to the forum. What method are you thinking of using? Can you do your own wiring, plumbing, ventilation, etc. I almost always suggest noobs read Al B Fucts thread "How to get a harvest every two weeks." In your case you can adjust the numbers down, its the production method that makes sense to me. Looking forward to seeing the progress you make. VV
