Hello there RIU!!! Long time smoker, first time grower.

I decided to get on this site and get some good information. I was refered by a buddy of mine.

anyways, I dont know where to really ask some of the questions that I do have, so I will post here in hopes of getting help.


My gf bought me some seeds as a "project". She got me some LR2's and the LR Diesels. Now I really really want to get these ladies growing. I have a cool schematic for a bubbleponix setup, but I was wondering if I should just stick with some good ol' organic dirt and easy nutes. And lighting is my second issue. I want to stick with some cfls in hopes of keeping the electricity down. But, What wattage/lumens and what should I do with the lighting cycle?

Any info would be appreciated!!!

Welcome to RIU. I would go with the highest cfls I could find, I think there are 100 watts. Then I would want 3 per lady so she is surrounded. As for the lighting schedule I think it is 20/4 or 21/3. Oh and Fox Farm Ocean forrest soil. Being that it will be a easy grow. 3 gallon buckets.

Alright cool. Thanks for the input guys. Now I just gotta find the room for it all to grow.

This FFOS, I can pick it up just about anywhere? i.e. Nursery at Home Depot, Walmart etc....

And since these LR's are pretty much dwarfs, do I have to maintain a set distance with my lighting to stop excessive stretching?

I think I am gonna start my set up this weekend!!!
