I'm thinking of growing a small batch (3 seeds) in a confined space with hopes of a 1/4-1/2 oz return. Most likely going to use 400w CFLs and emily garden hydro setup. I don't want my plants to be more that 3' at the end of flowering.

Anyone have suggestions for strain, nutrients, and seedbank? I've spent a lot of time reading grow journals and FAQs.

Just want to get my name out.

Well my suggestion is skip the cfl's. Running 400w of cfl's makes no sense, a hps is more efficient and the heat is no more than you're going to have with a ton of cfl's like that.

3 seeds? No try 6 or so since half can end up male.

You could do two of the $20 150w econolights in a 1'x3'x4' box. That would be ideal for 3 small plants like that.

Or you can go bigger... Up to you.

Oh and you won't want them 3' tall if you are using 400w or less. More like 2'tall. Yield on 3 decent females will be around 3-5oz's.

When would you start flowering them if you wanted an indica to be 2-3' tall? Where would you get a 1'x3'x4' grow box?

Goodwill, craigslist, kijiji etc you can find UPPER kitchen cabinets with those exact dimensions real cheap. Or whatever you might run across that looks about the size you want.

Are you limited to three plants or just want to keep things small and relatively unobtrusive?

Flower at a foot tall if the plant looks nice and bushy, if not let it get 2' tall but then tie the tops down with the plant bent over in half. It'll take more veg time to get that tall but then after you bend it in half you can nearly double the yield. You don't need to get that fancy your first grow though, just depends on how quick you want some smoke and how much you want. You'd be suprised at what you can yield in a little kitchen cabinet like that.

If you are a heavy smoker, share with friends, support a gf or wifes habit then you'd probably want bigger like a wardrobe cabinet.
