greetings all...
i am the one that will probably be asking silly questions for awhile. this is my first serious attempt to grow my own.
i started a outdoor project a few months ago. so far so good. now i want to try my luck indoors.

i will be using soil until i get the hang of things. nothing fancy at first, just a small room and a 500 watt grow light. i have a few outdoor plants that look pretty good. but i had no idea what i was doing till i found this site. maybe now there is hope... thanks

thanks for the soil advice... any suggestions on what works good for reflecting UV light? after buying a shinny silver tarp, i read to use the dull side of foil or high gloss white paint. thanks

you just kind of answered your own question, a uv light, thats a tanning lamp isnt it.
