Something a bit new, yet altogether old...
Something possibly revived, brought in from the cold..

I spiral downwords, looking for light...
I haven't yet realized, I am not quite right..

I am my own best company,
I don't want to be in charge of affecting eternity..

I want to know the secrets of the universe,
But can't handle the intricate workings of my own..

I burst with joy, but with whom do I share it..
Something new has now come and I feel I can't bare it..

A deep dark sadness also settles over,
I want it to lift, but I crumble under the weight...

I want to see the sunshine, to smell the flowers,
I have fallen out of control, out of powers..

To control my own being, I realize I am not just one...

I am many, weakness and greatness rolled into monotony...

I hide from the rain, but I dance in the sun...

To sit beside a rushing river, listen to the water as it splashes and calls out to the rocks as it rushes by..

I can once again feel all is right in this world...
That I am where I should be, that there is peace ultimately.

So I learn to choose, I learn to play...
I learn to draw for myself and create the pictures of happiness I desire today...
