a shotgun shell couldnt fill the silence in this room.
keeping the world an arms length away
just to numb your wounds
a fine line to cross
a fine line to smell
youve got a long way to go
youre strongest feeling is the nothing youve created in this hell

wishes and dreams only exist in your head and magazines
a long day dream will exaggerate a useless fantasy
a voice tells you "no"
but you kill it with shame
you will kill anything trying to save your name

a number to occupy
doesnt matter if its a phone or on a clock
you know deep down
giving in is the only way to stop

wish she was awake
wish she felt so careless all the time
when the drugs disappear
her regret is useless to try and stop
shell blame you for the decisions
she drunkenly told you to make
it was what you wanted anyway

youve got a long way to go
no desire to turn away.
