here is the start of some blueprints. trying to go for an older sort of style to the drawing.

this is a very quick spur of the moment sketch mind you.

if this character is any good when hes done ill 3d him.

well i did draw him in flash. but my flash keeps crashing. i had this program, mana? maka? some 3d program a friend of mine gave me the disc. but i re-formatted the laptop now i dont have it. been looking for it though. you know which one i mean?

comic, i love comics. ive been doing comic/books. lol uh, not a comic book but sort of a story, with comics if that makes sense. more reading than pictures. but really i want to animate him. i gotta get a functioning macromedia though.

u got any stuff to share? would love to see it

Maya is complicated to say the least. Its movie standard software. But I'm almost sure Maya is more for environments than characters.
But then again last version of Maya I had was about 8 years ago.

3D Studio Max is another top piece of software.

But both are difficult to use. Digital artist take years to learn to use it to its full potential. And a high end workstation.

What type of PC are you using Maya on?
