T5 over shop lights

get high output T5s they work great

Yes I'm sure they work great but are they that much better than t-12. Anyone outhere used both before and compaired the differences?

A four bulb t-5 set up generates the same amount of lumens as a 400 W MH with only using up 53 watts of electricity per bulb. Also the heat is going up because the ballast is on top of the fixtures so the heat radiance is low.

I know HID is much better but I would need four of them for my large veg room. I'm not willing to power HID for my clones, moms, and babes...want to know if t-5 change is worth the investment

t5's are much better than t12's

From what I've read T5's are a lot better than t12's (Haven't grew yet but I chose them over CFL's for my grow)
