My idea is a rotating drum on its side with fixed light source(S) down the center. Have a nutrient pool at the bottom. On one end I would mount a circular rail that would mesh the teeth on a small motor. Every time around the plants would get a soaking, by implant small cups of rock wool on one end and train the plants to grow to the other end of the barrel. Any size barrel would work the longer the better.

I would like to try this but I need some ideas in how to make it cheep as possible. Brainstorm for me if you will..
