Hey everyone,

Im going to be buying some auto AK-47 seeds pretty soon? I just moved to a new house and i have the master bedroom. The closet is pretty big and i wanna start growing in it. Can someone please give me a list of easy materials i can buy for the first stages of growing. I'm going to buy a 1000 hps light from craigslist first, what else do i need? also how much can i expect from one plant? How many seeds does one plant consist of? Again i'm new to this and would love the feedback.

With a 1k watt hps, you should be doing pretty well, first off you will need a system to vent and cool your area, cause that light will cause alot of heat, you will need some food/nutes, oscillating fan, ph testing kit, good water source (RO, spring or distilled), measuring tools, pots,timer, and make sure your light comes with a fan....
those are pretty much the basics....

I'm quite new here as well but been growing for about a year now

I suggest trying to get some random seeds from some bud or someone and grow those first before you spend allot of money of decent genetics. Your first plants are not going to be the best.

You could get 3 or 4 of these 105watt cfls, cool color temp, 6500k for veg
Or get a separate MH, they have ballast kits their for cheap to.
If you are not going to have separate veg and flowering areas just get a switchable ballast and bulbs. How may plants are you thinking? you can expect anywhere from 1-4 oz depending on how you do things. I suggest SOG, Sea of green, have like 6 smaller plants and get 2 oz a plants, for a 12 oz harvest.


No Idea what that mean? Like how many seeds will germinate? usually at least 4 out of 5. I put them in a small sealed container with water and a Tble spoon of hydrogen peroxide and out in the warm and dark, works excellent.
Then half the plants you get might be males... Clone once you know females.

Your also going to need an enclosed hood system and vent the air out, a 1000 watt hps is gonna heat up a closet pretty quick. Whats the grow space size?

Youll need nutes, I just use superthrive for first 2 weeks then I use a local organic line. You just gotta decide on your own, everyone will swear something else is better than something else.

Its all about growing and learning man. Really all the basics are in this forum so read up.
