ok ill try to make this quick.i orderd a 400watt hps but bulb did not work so sent backso i am going to have to ues cfl's for this grow intell i can talk parents in to ordering another.i have 1 purple mendo plant that is well over a month old it is a female and i am useing a 2bulb40watt worksho flour tube for the top of the plant then useing 2 40watt cfl's for 2 sides of the plant they have a reflector around it aiming into center of plant i also have 1 40watt cfl in back of plant so that side get's light.my problem is that it has not begin to make bud i see no bud growing and it's over a month old close to 2,so someone help plz

Members of this board recommend spending 8 weeks vegging a plant that was started from seed. The main problem with longer vegetation is that the plant keeps growing tall. Typically it will double or more in height during flowering.
You did not mention what your light cycle is, that is to say how often in one day are the lights on. You need to have 12hrs of uniterrupted darkness every day through flowering. If you are not doing this than your plant is likely still just growing in a vegetative state. You don't need to rush into flowering, you can wait for the HPS bulb to come in.

yes i am useing 12/12 hours of lighting sorry for not mentioning this i am pritty stoned they are alittle over 2feet tall and have ben flowering for atleast a month closer to 2months and yet i can not see any bud,since i am growing with cfl's what is the best setup i could have useing them like how many 40watt cfl's should i have on each plant minimum and can i get higher then 40watt cfl's cuzz i haven't seen any at lowes,i have to get everything i use from a garden center or a hardware center,pritty much i need advise on improveing my setup before i start my second

You probably don't have enough light. Most regular florescent tubes are not sufficient for flowering as they usually have low lumen output. You should look for screw in CFL 2700k warm bulbs (the kind that would fit in any old light socket in your house). Have a few of these surrounding the plant and see what happens over the next week.

Too bad you already started the 12/12, I would have rather seen you wait for the HPS before starting to flower. Get the HPS! Also, what are you using for nutes?

you like russian roulette or? that all sums up to a bit adventure that took the wrong turn. no hps to flower but insufficient CFL, and then time released nutes. you should have done some reading/preaparations first before starting out into the blue...

and since you already started flowering you hardly can get a clone to restart later on again even shit, big time dude.

but you also stated that there is not much flowering going on so might still try to get a few clones and gain with them a bit time to get that damn HPS ready

and this time, get a descent grow medium first, CFLs in the 6500K spec /cool white for vegging; a working hps system with blast, bat-wing hammer-toned reflector at least and bulb designed for flowering and some real cannabis fertilizer. the real fertilizer won't cost that much really, my supply for 3 grows- a two step system- went for 20 bucks not even. that all is worth the investment and get you next time some decent buds with in 4 1/2 months ruffly.

and if you really want to make sure you getting somewhere get yourself some new quality seeds of skunk#1, i thing you need a tough strain that can handle all you abuse that is just a extra 20-30 bucks for some good seeds, but skunk#1 won't just die on you just because you do a few little things wrong with it. that strain is really like a old russian tank, killing it twice still won't stop it
