Hey all, long time lurker just finished my first harvest. I'd Love to hear what you all think.
Got some Bagseed from a friend from what i'm told was good smoke, just so happened i've been sitting on a 400w MH so i decided to finally plunge into the exciting world of growing.
of about 20 seeds about half germinated and later was whittled down to the strong 7. all of which were ladies(?) planted in 0-0-0 potting soil and fertilized with miracle grow. i did alot of reading before i started so was carefull to avoid nute burn and some other "rookie" mistakes. though in retrospect i wish i had topped them for more bushyness. ah well theres always round 2. based on how they grew i think i have an indica-sativa hybrid, but i'd love to hear ideas as to what you think it is.
Vegged for about 3 and a half months (too long i know) before i got my hands ona 400w Hps. switched fert to shultz bloom plus (mixed about half strength) and light to the "cliche" 12-12. after 6 weeks 3 of the plants turned a deep purple colour and made my eyes go aooooga.
it took about 10 weeks of flowering until they were ripe, though obviously i had a hermie amongst the gals cause at harvest my bud did contain a small amount of seeds =( (will a clone of a hermie also be one? which ones did i clone off? damn my stoned head) nevertheless it came out very dense with a super sweet smell that, after a few weeks jar time became a licorice-y, pungent, citrus sort of smoke. all in all, im hooked on growing and cant wait for round 2 to come to fruition. soon i would like to try a screen of green and possibly some hydro, but one step at a timewill be the key. You folks are all fantastic and i wish you all bountiful delicious harvests.

Looking really good! Suprised they weren't 7 foot tall monsters after vegging for 3 and a half months! Congrats on the successful first grow! Hoping I'll have something to show for mine as well. Grow on!

thanks everyone for all the information. Just picked up a 1000w hps yesterday. will post pictures soon already week 7-8 so they're looking pretty!

Thanks for the props!! The girls in this thread were chopped and smoked in the spring, but nowadays i keep a perpetual harvest going by staggering the plants i put into flowering about 2 every 2 weeks.
