Default One gallon pots enough for SOG?

Sorry if this has been answered, but I couldn't find it with a couple of searches. I am growing a 4'X4' SOG grow, I would like to fit at least 35+ plants. I have to keep them somewhat short (no more than 3 feet) Would One gallon pots be enough for a decent yield, or would I be better off going with two gallons? I am growing in soil.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated as this is my first SOG grow.

I've never done a grow like that, but I would definitely use at least 3 to 3.5 gallon pots.

1 gallon are fine.......I have some girls goin right now in 1 gal, growing great, there bout 2 feet and bushy, smaller pots mean you have water more often though

How far are you into your grow? When you start to flower they are going to grow at least another foot or more. I don't think one gallon pots would be good.

Why? Because of the way they grow along the nets? I mean, when they start to flower they are going to get bigger and in turn, the roots will need more room to expand. Please explain...

working for me .......... 38 plants under two 600 watt HPS. 1 gallon pots. clones flowered at 6 inches tall.

i'm at 24 days of 12/12.

this from my last grow i eventually did move these into 3 gal pots but it wasn't sog, I had 7 females in a 5x5 area, I think thse pots arn't even a gallon maybe half. but it should give you an idea
