Default Critique my ScrOG/Closet Layout

I am in the planning stages of a Hydro ScrOG Setup for my smallish closet and looking for some input for this stealth grow.

The closet dimensions are 34.5" Wide x 18.5" Deep x 8' Tall. I plan to divide the closet so that the top chamber is used for flowering and should have enough height to mount the screen 8-10" above the top of the DWC Res. I will be using a 250w HPS Lamp w/ a built in ballast. There will be a set of 4" Vents on the top of the closet which will vent into the attic. The vent for the flowering chamber will use a carbon can filter. The second vent will run to the mother chamber. The fan will be a 265CFM Cage fan, again located in the attic to cut down on the noise. I will use a 4 - 4 splitter to vent both the mother/clone chamber as well as the flower chamber.

The Flower DWC will be a 10 gal rubbermaid container with two air stones. I will use a dual air pump for this and run individual 1/4" leads from the air pump to the stones.

Air intake will come from the wall which leads into another sealed off area beneath my shower. There is a 4" vent from the outside of the house, which there appears to be a clear air path from this vent to the chamber. There also is a drain here that I will use to drain both mother and flower DWC Res's using 1/2" PVC. I will use separate air intakes from this area into both the mother and flower chamber. I'm unsure on the size but I plan to make sure there is enough negative pressure in the closet to keep things warm when winter comes. This area of my house (closet and tub) get pretty cold, so as a precaution I will be sealing off the hole after running the vent/drain and using insulation for both the floor and seal.

The Mother chamber will be the remainder of the height left over from the floor up to the floor of the flower chamber. I will be using 4) 22" T5 lights.

I plan to use a common mother/clone chamber for simplicity sake. I'm hoping that I can root the clones in rockwool in the 3" net pots and then have them take kindly to a mild nutrient mixture for both mothers and clones (hopefully around 600PPM).

Anything that I've planned wrong or if something jumps out at you, please offer up suggestions. Please note, that I have not ever grown before and also have no experience with Hydroponics. I planned out this closet to offer my enough simplicity to grow with ease, however enough challenge for me to learn quickly.

Hopefully, I will be able to yield 6-8 ounces every 3-4 months.

clones dont get nutes generally... nor do they get a lot of water... what they do get is high humidity and low light.

what you may want to consider is making just a tank for the mothers and a small box with a plexiglass lid with cups to hold the rockwool cubes for the clones.

not a hydro guy though, so i could be way wrong.

another thing that i am just going to talk out of my ass on is the perpetual ScrOG theory... i was reading how due to the ScrOG's design elements it is prone to bugs and mold and such when a perpetual harvest is used. the suggestion was made to make a modular ScrOG so that sections of the screen could be removed to rotate crops and also so that the whole shebang could be taken out mid grow for cleaning of the room. this may totally not apply to hydro though.

however, as a dirt grower, i am building my ScrOG setup very similar to what you have designed except where you have 4 plants under one screen, i will have it to where each screen section only covers two plants.

anyway, just comments from someone more or less clueless on what you are doing

please feel free to call me an idiot and school me right up

No plan is perfect although plenty are idiotic. Yours appears to be well thought out though...

One minor thing I see is that you have the plants in the grow chamber lined up perpendicularly with the lights. That would not allow you to lower one of the lamps closer to the clones. I would think about re-organizing that shelf with the mothers in back and clones along the front so you can drop one of the lights if you are gonna use 2.
