other than ice. . .what is a better product that stays colder longer? anyone know or use a good product?

hai just had to do that today, temps were getting close to 90 f

i have plenty of fans, its just the ambient temp is 87f so its hard to keep temps down

i have heard of people using dry ice but i think it would be too expensive to use. i dont know what else... But if you cant get temps down, add CO2, it helps plants thrive in high temps.

why is the ambient temp so high? do you live in that type of heat?? if so use an ac to cool down your room that has your box or closet in it..

i have my cab in my loft. i might move it but that is the best best spot. i have an a/c unit up there keeping the room at 72 degrees. the 250hps shoots the temp to 90ish in one area, then i have leds in the mom area, and cfl in the daughter area.. i have an active exhaust venting to the attic and a passive intake low to the floor . i have a 500cfm inline fan that is barely pulling because it's cheap so in the next few weeks i'm upgrading to a squirrel cage fan. this should definately pull all the air out and replenish the cab with the fresh 72ish air.

. . .until then i need to do the ice thing. total amount of water for 23 cubic feet of space is 6gallons of frozen water drops the cab 10-15 degrees. i need this. . .but it melts within 5 hours. so does anyone have any ideas to maintain the frozen liquid until i can spend the cash for a more powerful fan.

something isnt right....that 250 shouldnt be boosting temps that high....ducting and ventilation isnt right.

if you can, drop that a/c lower than 70

the ice will last longer if you put a whole crap load of salt in it. Or use ice packs so you can refreeze and not keep buying or making ice

cool tube!!!! i am interested. tell me more. . .i am going to be attemptind a v-scrog cylinder style. so i repositioned my light to be vertical. i have seen the cool tubes but can i make one or do i have to buy it?

. . . .and the salt and ice idea how would i use salt do extend my ice. i am putting gallon, 1/2 gallon jugs in my cab to cool it off. where does the ice fit in?
