i have 2 42w cfl bulbs and 6 23w cfl bulbs

i also have a uv-b light and a full specturm floro

how should u use what i have to better max my yeild i will go get more CFL if i have to

please no suggestions of MH or HPS bulbs i dont have that money

and what is a good rig for all of this for light fixtures

well, i'd make a means to hang them, where you could keep them 1-2'' away, closer the better, then try a sog because the CFLs will not be able to penetrate the foliage, then when your plants get taller, hang ur cfls inbetween the plants, trying to hit the sides of the Tops.. I can explain more if you don't get anything

Try powerstrips on the ceiling, with lights hanging from tied up extension cords, and how many plants were you thinking?

Interesting..just the threat I was looking for.. I bought 4x 45w cool white cfl's 2700lm's each..I couldn't find any warm ones and only realized today how expensive this hobby can get..so I couldn't buy more than these 4x cfl's but I have a good reflector and have the bulbs in 4x study lamps I bought that can be maneuvered around the plant/s..I currently have one female in bud stage and just soaked 2 seeds in a paper towel for my new grow which I want to pick the female out and create 2/3 clones of her and get rid of the male if there is any.. Will these cfl's be enough for say 3-4 plants?? ..O' and we don't work in inches or ft" here where I live so can anyone please tell me how close these lights should be to the plants in centimeters and do I still use a fan if I only have cool white cfl's coz there is plenty of air ventilation? ..its haunting me at the moment as well as I don't know much either..

that will work, keep your plants short. But more lights are always better, it's 10 bucks for 4, 23 watt 2700k soft white's at walmart...

Well the only thing I know about metrics was from college Physics which in this particular class was taught by the basketball coach. I was not the right color so I had to play football but he was still friendly as a yard dawg to all the athlectic types. He say the only thing a person needs to remember about metrics is..a fly weighs about a gram..a fly's turd weighs about a milligram. He claimed that be all we ever need to know about it. I think you got a nice assemblage of cfls. They going on sale tax free in God's Country this weekend. It was Algore's idear I think. Keep em as close as you can without actually touching the veggies. If you do happen to scorch em a little..they seem to heal purty fast. I would definite do the fan..great airflow is good and should work wonderful in tandem with a fan. Need to keep the plants shaking so it builds up their muscles. If they aint shaken...that is a sign they will grow up to be weak sisters..sissies...girly dope as Arnold would say. But hopefully you have girls. As in the real world girls are mo betta than boys. They have their own *ussies and know how to cook their own food etc. Hope this helps. You also need a hot air exhuast vent (hole) near the top right handed corner of the ceiling and a bathroom fart fan to exhaust the heat 24/7 from the grow area through the hole into the adjacent room or outdoors etc. Simple huh? G'day mate.

Well I'm lucky with the female I've got at the moment as she is a dwarf and doing alright.. I wish we had a walmart here in S.Africa to get some discount ..our currency is bit weak so 10 bucks would be like 8x more for me unfortunately.. ..but I hope to buy more lights as I go on as I would like to grow some potent puff in the future..

I don't think the metrics thing helped at all but I will put my lights as close as possible and work it from there..trial and error hey..Anyway,so I've got a small fan blowing now but I'll give the exhaust thing a skip as it's too much construction..i'll just open a window that should take care of the smells etc.

yoo skatterman, u sound like u have alot of experiance with cfls..u think if u get time maybe u cud give me a few overall tips and help me out with a current grow? pm me wen ur free
