What up great minds of rollitup, im a first time grower long time smoker. Ive been gathering info to nurture my mother and the 10 sproutees i have in progress. Actually i wasnt even suppose to have a grow op. but long story short i had whole buncha seeds laying around and decided to sprout them using a method i learned in elementry school. basically what i did was just threw a whole buch of seeds into a cup with cotton and kept it moist, one thing lead to another and they sprouted. I planted the sprouts using a pot and some fertilizer my dad had laying around in his garden and left them in the back yard for months. They grew and my interest to keep them that way also grew (thats how i found this website). Any how before i stumbled upon this website i knew nothing about growing and mishandled my females. Now she is getting alot of TLC. I think i might have fcuked up her light cycles taking her from veg-flowering-back to veg. She is now about 3 months old ( i know she should be flowering right now). i have a few questions

Can someone tell me weather the strain is of indica or sativa just by looking at the plant? i've been told it was sativa but who knows? its starting to smell like kush.

also i want to clone her before i put her into flowering cycle. i have rooting hormone ready along with growing blocks. I know im suppose to cut at least 2" but can someone point out where i should cut.

can someone point me torwards the right direction for a soil-less mix. right now she is sitting in some shitty garden soil my dad had laying around. her clones will be in better soil. so far i have a bag of peatmoss and perlite and still need to get some vermaculite.

i need advice on nutes and ph also. got myself a digi ph meter on ebay coming soon.

Thanks but your no help. I had a few questions of my own so i went ahead and made my own post enstead of high jacking some elses. Thats the whole point of this website the way i see it. I start my own thread, post pics of my set up, and my plants. Thats how it works right. Of course to perfect the art of this craftmanship you'll need expierience. But why risk screwing up my plants when i can ask for advice. I want to do it right the first time not find out the hard way. anyways next.

the leaves look like indica leaves to me. sativa leaves are more slender and jagged.
cut clones at a 45 degree angle on any branch that is 2-4 inches long coming off the MAIN stem. trim all of the leaves off except for the ones at the very end. but i wouldn't leave more than 4. read some of the cloning post before attempting to cut clones and asking a bunch of questions. the forums are to ask questions about what ISNT covered in the newbie guides. theres all kinds of shit in there to make the beginner just as capable as the experienced grower. I mean seriously bra, it took me years of trial and error to learn half of the stuff covered by those guides. Check out widow makers guide specifically.

Well for 3 months it looks like death lol anyways.It almost doesnt look like weed at all almost looks like a mint plant but from looking and taking whats there Id lean more Indica if I had to choose based on the fatter leaves.I see a cola ontop which means it must have went flower sometime before any seed pods on it can go hermie if stressed to much.Cloning is simple check my posts I put it up in detail a few time.Good luck

Hell hahaha yea pretty much since i had no intentions to grow in the first place it was just by accident but you'll see ill bring this baby back to heaven. Yep, like i mentioned on my first post it went into flower mode. I can tell you its some sort of kush plant. Right now the nodes on the sides are growing nodes of their own and showing signs of hair follicles, this looks like a good sign. ill have to update pics soon.

You guys think i can pick off the nugs on the cola and cure since it went back into veg? (laughing).
