so i wired lotts of lamp fixtures for my cfl's, i wired a regular cord (off a toaster) to my floro tubes after the fixture came out of the cieling.

but today my 400w hps setup came... the wire on it isn't like other wires the manufacturer says it is multi-tap for 120v-240v-893457vhatever, i think 120v cables are the ones i understand... this one i do not, any light/electrical whiz's out there wanna help out? i post pics of the cord

after this is running i plan to make a journal of "how to build a grow room for less than 100$"

you need a grounded plug. your toaster is probably not grounded.

Multi tap means it can run on 120v OR 240c so you can just plug the ballast into the wall... like it says when you purchase it....
